The Good of World of Warcraft Gold Farming

If your professions are not cutting it for you, or you just need more gold then gold farm. Lots of people do it all the time to acquire in game items and gold. With a little research you can also put some techniques together to get gold faster in game. Its no joke, anyone can make gold, you just need to know how. There are many ways to learn how and many guides you can consult as well for extra knowledge. I am going to share the basics here and important tips to keep you on top of your game.

Oh and just for relevance I hope I have not confused you with the term gold farming, I am not talking about people who farm to get gold and later sell that gold for real world money. The term gold farming doesn’t mean just that. Gold farming involves time and effort on your part. Let’s say your out killing a mob because there is the chance a recipe could drop that sells for 200 gold in the auction house. Doing this action, repeatedly is farming. Your farming the mob for an important item, that people will buy. Let’s say you’re a miner riding your mount around Western Plaugelands to try and collect some Thorium, technically this is farming to. Usually when people want certain ore they will stay in a good area and wait for spawns or kill mobs until the ore comes back again. Mining can be pretty greedy though so be careful, there are times where you will be competing with your enemy faction or even a member from your own faction in the warcraft community.

Some people do not farm or even have professions what so ever, but they want to get ahead in game, this is where you can come in. By picking up a profitable profession, or farming well known areas where popular items drop of value can rake in the gold fast. As long as its selling and there is buyers then your all set. There are times that farming will become stressful, annoying and even make you quit and go back to something else, lets face it some people hate farming so they do not do it. Other people gold farm all the time to gather gold for whatever reason (we all have our reasons right). And some people just find gold farming boring, so they stay away. I think I said enough about gold farming though, I am sure you may be wondering what to do next, where to start and what is the most profitable items to farm.

Now if you are on your first character ever than I suggest leveling up a bit. It is your first toon after all. When you start out you have no in game currency anyways. Starting off by doing the area quest will help. These quest will give you copper/silver starting out and items, sometimes both. Also most quest involve you to kill certain mobs. After you kill a mob be sure to loot it and grab everything it dropped. Even if its garbage then vendor trash it for more copper or silver. The higher level you get the more you will get as far as currency goes, same as the mobs they will drop more.

I think Gold Farming is good for all levels. Eventually everyone probably does it at least once. There is no shame in doing it either. I don’t see what the problem is in farming up a item that sells like crazy. Think about it from this point of view, if people were not gold farming the auction house be nearly dead, yes nearly dead... Most of the items for sale were gold farmed I’m sure.

So gold farming is good because it helps you make some gold and helps keep the WoW economy going.
