Camping Egg Spawns VS Running Around And Collecting

This is a random post but I must make it! Alright so I am timing this at 10 minutes. I chose Dolannaar as my place for egg hunting. Noblegarden has been going on since Sunday. My work schedule did cut into it but I have been able to get 3 Swift Springstriders. The first one I took for myself since I didn't have one, I sold one for 5,000 gold and the other is in inventory waiting to be sold. I only got 1 from an egg but am hearing reports that people have gotten 2-3 from eggs now.

So today I timed myself collecting eggs for 10 minutes. I did not camp any spawns I simply ran around collecting them. I was able to get 61 eggs. I was very lucky out of those I had no crap like Tuxedo pants or Spring Flowers. Getting those take away from chocolate. I think that is good, now I know you need 500 pieces to buy the mount but 61 seems swell.Keep in mind I did this after 12pm server time, less people were in Dolanaar. And I know where most of the egg spawns are now, so that helps!

As you can see when no one is camping you can collect much quicker! So now I am going to choose a spot and camp it for 10 minutes and see how the results go! Keep in mind if you camp a spot with just 1 egg spawn it will take longer. There is a few spots where more than 1 egg spawns near by. My results are awful: 12 pieces of chocolate and Tuxedo pants. I think I will be sticking to running around and collecting eggs :)

Keep in mind other things will impact your results. The location, how many people are farming, and what the egg drops. Every egg doesn't include a piece of Noblegarden chocolate some have spring type items and a pet. If your lucky an egg can also drop the Swift Springstrider.

Happy Noblegarden!

It has been a very long time since I posted. I have not played WoW since before Christmas 2012 and just reactivated it the end of March. So hopefully more post and possible videos in the future.

Noblegarden started yesterday in WoW and ends April 8th. Right now I am going to try my best to get the chocolate together to purchase the Swift Springstrider. This mount cost 500 pieces of Noblegarden chocolate. I am currently up to 274 pieces.

Last night was the first night I seriously sat down after work to hunt for these eggs. Goldshire and Kharanos are way to over crowded for my liking. I use to go to Azure Watch which was ok. This year I am egg hunting in Dolanaar.

Night seems to be a bad time to try and get eggs from anywhere, way to many people online. And you probably noticed quite a few players camp spawning points so it makes it very hard to collect any eggs unless you try and take their camp spot or just run around picking the eggs people miss. I have found it was more productive to just run around, I notice some bushes get missed that hide eggs. And the spawn spots are the same so once you make your map out running to these spots can be beneficial.

This morning I logged in around 9:30am. From 9:30 to 10:30 I had collect 103 pieces of chocolate, this is from not camping a spot but running around. Might I add less people were online! When I came back I collected a little over 100 again. Not that bad really, it could be worse. It did take 2 hours of my time but if I didn't work later I could probably get my mount today.

Tonight when I log in I probably will have to deal with to many people again. I can't say what happens after 2am though, it might die off somewhere in between that time.

I suggest reading about Noblegarden from this trusted site if you need to know more, Noblegarden Guide
That will explain pretty much everything. So now you may be wondering where eggs are hid. Here is a sample of spots.

This shot was taking in spots in Dolanaar

The final spot is a bush hiding area  tried to circle it, might be hard to tell. Depending on the area they can be in strange places or most often out in the open. Anyhow happy Noblegarden, at some point I plan on posting more and maybe adding a video or 2 once I get a headset.

Darkmoon Faire Fishing Video

Just letting my readers know I have some videos I will slowly be uploading to my youtube channel. This is a video I did a while ago about fishing on darkmoon island.

Basically I run around the entire island giving an idea where most fishing nodes appear. So even if you don't have the "find fish" ability you can still find them. Very easy way to make over 1,000 gold or more from fishing most days.

Make Gold While Questing

It is funny because I never notice this concept until higher level. As you level the most guaranteed item you will get is cloth. Cloth is a huge seller needed in professions and recipes. You also may pick up green items, quest rewards you cannot use and vendor trash.

From the picture above you can see I circled the item I chose because it was worth 24 gold and it was not a good enough upgrade for me. So really I earned 29 gold from that quest when you include the quest reward of 6 gold.

If you pickup skinning, mining or herbalism you can make some good gold. Starting out you may not make a whole lot but later you will. In most situations the higher level items you farm always bring in more gold, unless it is an item of useless value.

There always is people to lazy to farm so they will buy these items. Just because you have crafting professions it doesn't mean you need to farm all the time. While doing your regular quest you will kill plenty of humans and animals. While questing it will be easy to run into mining nodes, plants to herb and animals to skin.

You can mouse over items in your bags and the price of each to sell will show up. On occasion you may even get items with values of 1 gold that are trash. So make sure to keep an eye on what you get during questing and sell to vendor later.

This is just a few tips outlined for people to remember when they quest. It will help with giving you some gold or silver.

Childrens Week

When I logged in today to participate in Children's Week I figured it would be the same old quest. Well during my Stormwind Orphan quest there was a new one. The quest is called "Crusin' The Chasm" You take your orphan to Westfall. The picture below shows what you will see.
When you find the gnome with the 2 choppers you know you found the right place. You hop in and the chopper does the driving. So you just watch the drive and the kid talking. As you can see from the next picture they get in some weird situations:
Each quest gives you some gold, so you are not entirely wasting your time! I got Mr. Wiggles and Willy for my pets today.

After Much Farming... I got, Vial of the Sands!

I never knew this mount even existed until I browsed the mounts in the auction house. It seemed cool and at that point forward I knew I needed it for my mage.

I have never had anymore than $16,000 gold on my account. I can thank Darkmoon Faire for most of my gold. All of the fishing helped me earn most of the gold I needed for this mount. Most days on my server this mount sells for 39 or 40k. Today I got it for 34k, I had enough and couldn't pass up the cheap price!

http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

I really like the look of it and I find it cool because now my mage can transform to this mount.

Check The Auction House First

A classic mistake I have done myself a few times is log into a character, go out and farm copper for example without checking the prices on the auction house. *YIKES* Most of the time prices are stable, but there are times that even the mining items and cloth drops in value.

So before you decide "hey I want to farm mageweave cloth today." Don't do it until you check the price. Its a huge mistake when you come back and realize you farmed for a couple hours to discover you might only make 6 gold a stack, not good...

Some low level items sell decently and if you have a high level character it can become easier to grind the gold because being high level has one advantage. You can kill things faster, much faster.

If you are far away from a auction house I highly suggest making a character and not leveling him/her. Make this character and run them up to the auction house, this can be your bank toon. Just leave them in whatever city they are closest too. This way you will always have someone close to the auction house and you can easily mail your items to this toon.

I was thinking of this topic because I did this the other day (funny enough) I went out farming Wool Cloth and low level enchanting supplies. Only to find out Wool Cloth was selling for 4 gold a stack (On my server it normally is higher) and most of the enchanting supplies were very cheap.

So be smart and do that research before you head out!

Got Darkmoon Monkey

This monkey cost 90 tokens, you get tokens from games, and turning in quest on Darkmoon Island.

I tried to get 2 pictures of them. Sorry for the lack of quality. Anyhow I did cheat a bit to get this pet. Well not cheat but I spent gold I shouldn't of spent.

Off the AH I bought some quest to to start and pass into Darkmoon Island,

- Banner Of The Fallen
- Soothsayer's Runes
- Captured Insignia

I bought 2 other things but I forget what they were. Anyways just wanted to share that I got my monkey and I am happy, I like having lots of companions for my characters.

Embersilk Cloth Farming Locations In Twilight Highlands

If you are high level in the game, by now you probably are aware that Embersilk Cloth is a big seller on the auction house. All cloths sell decently though. I have been able to sell my stacks of Embersilk under 12 hours any day of the week. So it is heavy and in demand.

Some places drop it better than others, quicker even. The quickest spot though is Darkmoon Island. Go to Darkmoon Island run along the shore and fish crates. Some crates contain 11 pieces! Others 12! sometimes 9 or less. Most humanoids drop between 1-4 pieces and they don't drop them every time.

Of course a crate won't always drop them either but a high chance. So what is the problem with my suggestion? Well Darkmoon Faire is only once a month so you can see why it is a problem. Also the fact its rough competition and people will try and over fish your node.

So this thread was to talk about Twilight Highlands. I ran around to a few different spots and here are my findings:

Twilight Shore - In 10 minutes I got a stack of Embersilk Cloth while killing Axebite Marines on, Twilight Shore. They have 70946 health.

Alter of Ascension - Killed Dark Assassin and Twilight Vindicator, got 1 stack in 11 minutes.

Dunwald Ruins - Got 1-3 pieces of Embrsilk from Twilight Pillager with 70946 health.

Twilight Gate - Got 1-4 pieces of Embersilk Cloth, level 85 monsters. I was able to collect Embersilk the quickest while farming at Twilight Gate.

So Twilight gate was the best spot. Twilight Shore is nice only because these mobs are being fought, so their health is usually a bit down a tiny bit. Alter of Ascension and Dunwald Ruins did have fair drops but not in a big amount like I wanted.

So Twilight gate offered 1 - 4 pieces of Embersilk. You can use Potion of Treasure Finding. Now keep in mind these potions are expensive. On my server they are 70 gold a piece. And you won't get a chest off of all mobs. The chest don't always have embersilk either. The hour I used it was disappointing, I got 3 chest and 16 pieces of embersilk from those chest, gold and a green. I guess it was ok but I was hoping more chest.

After reading WoWhead I had discovered this potion and someone left a comment about using these potions in Deepholm at Needlrock Slag. I got to Needlrock though and discovered there were to many people, so I used the potion in Twilight Highlands instead.

If I had of followed the advice someone left then perhaps I would of had a better experience. I never went all over Twilight Highlands yet, so I may update this post once I do.

Another Day, Another $1,000 Gold?

Actually this title has a misleading amount, I am sure I will make $1,000 or more gold today. The Darkmoon Faire is back and I get tired of the daily quest on the Island. I do them to collect the prize tokens, but fishing is where the money is at.

I logged in today at 9:20am my time, shortly after this started fishing. I didn't meet anyone along the way! I used 3 Elixir's Of Water Walking. So in total I fished for 35 minutes and was able to get 35 crates. Not bad.

I got a lot of junk that won't be going on the auction house. However I did get, 5 stacks of Embersilk Cloth, 2 stacks of Obsidium Ore and potions. I have some items I will be selling with this batch to make sure I have full stacks of everything. I even want to sell a rifle I found, Don Santos's Famous Hunting Rifle. I am having a hard time getting rid of it though.

I should make at least $950 gold from my 35 minutes of work. And if my rifle sells that is another 900. So here is to hoping.

That Time Of The Month Again...

I am talking about Darkmoon Faire it is back, hopefully fellow WoWers have quest to pass in and their Grisly Trophy quest completed. Don't forget you can do the profession quest every time the Darkmoon Faire comes around plus the game dailies.

You can read my hubpage which has more detailed info if you are new to learning about the Darkmoon Faire

This is not all though today starts "Love Is In the Air" which comes around every February as a world event. I had a busy day at work so today I won't get any fishing in.

However, the rest of the week should be an easy one and I should get lots of questing time in.

Gold Farming In The Mechanar, Gold Made

Well now that my auctions have ended we can see how much gold I made and what didn't sell. From my auctions that sold I was able to make 112 gold. Not to bad I suppose. My Bottled Nethergon Energy did not sell and my Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle did not sell. Sadly after my rifle went up 2 others appeared with much lower prices.

It is time to take a look though and see what was made. The run itself took me a little over 30 minutes so we may as well round it off to 40 minutes or so.

Looting: 38 gold
Vendor Trash: 9 gold
Magic Armor/Weapons: 43 gold
Auctions: 112 gold

Total: 202 gold

Well this does not seem bad really but you can't make this type of gold unless your high enough level to solo the dungeon. This way you get all loot to yourself.

Gold Farming In The Mechanar

I decided to solo a random dungeon today, I went to Netherstorm and tired The Mechanar. It was not to bad I had a 2 BOEs drop and one was purple, Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle.

From looting the corpses I got 38 gold. 3 of that gold goes to quest I did which only paid me a gold a some silver.
I was disappointed that I got hardly any Netherweave Cloth, I only was able to get 43 pieces. I guess some instances just pay out better then others.

What I got:

- 43 Pieces of Netherweave Cloth
- 25 Sunfury Signet
- 1 Arcane Tome
- 13 Mark of Sargeras
- 4 Greens
- Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle (BOE)
- Pauldrons of Surging Mana (BOE)

Before I get sorting the big stuff I always sell my vendor trash first. After selling my vendor trash I made an additional, 9 gold. Not very much at all but that is ok.

Now becomes the hard decision of if I should disenchant the soulbound items or sell them and the greens. The last few days I checked the AH the prices were terrible on outland enchanting materials.

After looking at the prices on the AH I decided it was best to vendor trash these items to get the gold they are worth, I wouldn't disenchant enough for a stack of arcane dust which was selling for 38 gold. Upon selling my greens and soulbound items I made 43 gold from selling those off.

With my Netherweave I decided to tailor 2 Netherweave bags since I would make more gold. I know everyone can't make the bags out of Netherweave. If I was selling the 2 stacks of cloth I would make 20 gold (not including AH cut) By doing the bags I will make much more then that.

The hunting rifle also has a tough choice as I could of given it to my hunter. I am trying it at 3k so it may and may not sell. I am hoping since it seems a bit rare it will bring in some cash.

Here is the auctions:

I have them all set for 48 hours, so once they sell I will do a thread and let you know the total profit. I didn't keep entire track of how long the instance took, I beleive it took roughly 30 minutes almost though.

Enchating Drops, Price Drop?

Today I decided I wanted to run through Hellfire Ramparts on my mage to collect some cloth and items to disenchant. I made the big mistake of not checking auction prices before doing this. Take a look at the pictures below. I can remember a time when these items sold for a lot. Now I am thinking this is temporary! But if not, then well that sucks.

Now I have to wonder if all servers are having this issue. Not that it is an issue, but enchanting had been a nice profit for my mage and it seems like only very high level enchanting mats are selling.

A stack of Arcane dust was selling for 25 gold on Mok'Nathal where as on my home server it was selling for 42 gold. Small Prismatic shards had a difference of maybe 80 silver in price.

In the past I have seen prices drop and come back, in this situation I hope that is all it is. My mages main source of gold comes from selling enchanting supplies, doing dailies and fishing.

Now here is her auctions:

Some of these items normally sell for a higher amount, however I took what I could and put them up even at the slight decrease in price.

One suggestion I will make, if you notice a huge price drop do not put the item up, I do save some items for later auctions. The last thing you want to do is lose 20-30 exrta gold.

Leave a comment if you have seen a drop in enchanting prices on your server, would be interesting to know.

More Fishing Fun... (Continued)

As promised I would post my results for selling the items I got from fishing up "Sealed Crates" on Darkmoon Island.

Don't you just love logging in and seeing that all of your auctions sold. The best part about it is that I am making gold and increasing my skill in fishing as well. So it is a win/win situation.

I did the math and here is the result, I made $974 gold. Not bad and all of my auctions sold that day! So it all went fast :)

I have not taken a low level character to fish yet and see what they would get, I am sure I only got "sealed crates" because I was fishing on a level 85 character. Either way it works out...

Now there is a con though. A LOT of other people are buying those water walking potions and doing the same as me. If you want to make gold at this, try and get on the server when less people are doing it!

More Fishing Fun...

I had today off so I figured I better get some WoW playing in since its back to work
tomorrow. I noticed the best times to go searching for those fish nodes seem to be 5
minutes before the next hour. The Tauren Chieftain concert stars. There also is a
Deathmatch Pavilion which takes a lot of peoples attention away. I also find though as a rule during the day less people are online so that helps.

I had only 1 Elixir Of Water Walking in my inventory today so I drank it and was able to find 6 fishing nodes, from that 10 crates. So not bad at all really, by the way that took 10 minutes of my time to get these 10 crates.

Before I went to the Island today though I made sure to take most of the crate goods out from yesterday and get them on the Auction house. Once all of the auctions sell I will do a post and let you know how much I made :)

Oh and before I forget I got the sea pony yesterday! with all this fishing I was able to get my fishing up to 312 which is great. So I got my pet, keep increasing my fishing skill and should get some good gold out of it :)

Fishing On Darkmoon Island

I have taken a picture of my map and circled in black the areas where I found shipwrecked debris. From 3 spots I was able to get 3 "'Sealed Crates"

This is what I got from the first run around the Island. It did not take very long because I used "Elixir Of Water Walking"

From first run around the Island:
20 silver (rounded up)
6 Elementium Ore
2 Pyrite Ore
7 Obsidium Ore
4 Salty Sea Dog
4 Fresh - Squeezed Limeade
4 Sasparilla Sinker
2 Darkmoon Firewater

I decided to drink another elixir and head all the way around the Island for a second time. After all it is quicker to walk on water then be stuck swimming.

I was surprised I only saw 3 people fishing! I was able to find more fishing spots and get 6 'Sealed Crates"

This is what I got from the 2nd run:
34 silver *(rounded up)
6 Stormvine
4 Spiced Beer Jerky
20 Embersilk Cloth
3 Cheap Beer
6 Darkmoon Firewater
3 Pyrite Ore
3 Sasparilla Sinker
2 Rumsey Rum Black Label
6 Elementium Ore
4 Red Hot Wings
2 Darkmoon Dog
12 Obsidium Ore

You will notice the items I got are high level. I am not sure if it changes for your fishing level or character level. Either way it is worth it especially if you are trying to get the Sea Pony.

I Got My Winterspring Frostsaber!

After 20 days of dailies from my Winterspring Cub, today I got my mount, finally! I figured I should do a post about the quest involved to get this mount.

First off though here is a picture of the mount:

In order to do these dailies the first thing you need to go is get to Winterspring which is located in Kalimador. From there you must visit Frostsaber Rock and speak to Rivern Frostwind.

Quest 1 - Get Them While They're Young
This quest is simple, you just go around Frostsaber Rock to where there are dens or you see cubs and get them. To aid you in this quest you will notice a bag icon appear on your mouse when picking up the cubs. You need 8 in total and if your high level this should be a very quick quest.

Quest 2 - They Grow Up So Fast
You will get a small cub that you can summon. The cub will give you some daily quest. Before we get into the cub quest this second quest is the quest that will give you the Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber.

In order do complete this quest you need the following:

~ 20 Winterspring Cub Whiskers
~ 20 Runecloth
~ 20 Rugged Leather
~ 80 Gold

If you don't have a lot of money to spend but have toons that can make this type of leather go that route. Now if your level 85 doing this quest gold shouldn't be an issue at all really.

When you summon your cub you will get some quest which give you the whiskers you need. Because you need 20 whiskers to complete the quest it will take 20 days to complete the quest, so if you forget to log in or do a daily for that day it will take longer. Everyday you need to do the daily to get a whisker.

There are not many quest, in total the cub has 4 dailies to give you. So you will end up repeating dailies a lot. The dailies are:

  1. Cub's First Toy
  2. A Cub's Cravings
  3. 'Borrowing' From The Winterfall
  4. Hunting Practice
Each quest is very easy to do and all the questing is done in Winterspring so you don't need to worry about traveling very far. The only concern you may have is how you will get to Winterspring everyday, but that shouldn't be to hard to figure out. Doing these dailies won't be a total waste of time, you will get your whisker and gold with each daily.

Cub's First Toy
"Obtain a Tough Yeti Hide from any Ice Thistle Yeti and 5 Wildkin feathers. Combine them to make a Winterspring Cat Toy and use it to play with your Winterspring Cub. "

This quest is simple and shouldn't take long to complete, you only need to take down one yeti to get the yeti hide. To get the Wildkin feathers you can visit the Owl Wing Thicket.

A Cub's Cravings
"Gather 6 pieces of Shardtooth Meat from any of the Shardtooth bears in Winterspring and feed them to your Winterspring Cub. "

This is another easy quest, I beleive you can kill any of the shardtooth bears in Winterspring to collect the meat needed.

'Borrowing' From The Winterfall
"Obtain 6 pieces of Smoked Meat from either Winterfall furbolg camp in Winterspring and feed them to your Winterspring Cub. "

You can go to Winterfall Village which is right beside Everlook to do this quest. There are racks of meat all around the camp you simple click to collect the meat. Most days I did this quest I didn't have to take down any Winterfall, it was very easy.

Hunting Practice
"Bring your cub near snow-covered burrows in northern Winterspring 5 times to help it learn how to hunt arctic hares."

For some reason I was only able to do this quest once. It is easy though. All I did was walked over where the shiny spot was in the snow and your pet does the rest.

Anyhow that was a quick not so long detail of the quest. Just remember by keeping your "Track Quest" function on this will take you to each quest and make it 10 times easier in the long run.

The mount is low level looking but I love cat's so I had to have it for my mage!

World of Warcraft, Low Level Gold Before Level 20, Part 4

A lot has happened since our last video. I did all the questing in Westfall. I have to say that Westfall has changed a lot in regards to its quest line. And this was my first time seeing that they killed off Old Blanchy! Seriously although the new storyline is well put together for the quest line it is sad. After my quest chain for discovering who killed Blanchy and the owners, I got a nice staff at the end of the quest chain though:

This is just a picture of the auctions that went up before I got a chance to make my last video:

After I completed Westfall I moved on to Stormwind to place auctions you see above. I visited my mage trainer and then headed on to Redridge Mountains.

During one of my quest in Redridge I came across a rare spider named "Chatter" He was literally RIGHT there, not hidden and close to the road which was funny. So anyways I killed him that the picture below shows how he looks and the item I got from killing him.

The Redridge questing zone is not to bad, I quickly was able to get my character to level 20 and I am not even done the zone yet. Now that my character is level 20 though its time to head back to Stormwind and get ready to buy my first mount!

You can view the video below,

Alright, so as stated in the video at this point I may not have any more videos for this character, it was just an experiment to show others how to get gold at a low level and get their first mount without hassle.

You will also notice by choosing mining and skinning I was able to exceed the amount needed to buy my first mount.

I hope everyone enjoyed my video series and please feel free to leave comments on my youtube videos and on my blog.

World of Warcraft, Low Level Gold Before Level 20, Part 3

In this video we will find my toon in the Dwarven District of Stormwind. Since hes a miner this is an excellent spot now that there is an auction house.

My character is up to level 13 now, I got some questing completed and he has started in Westfall. Out of the little bit of time I have leveled this toon I have done no farming yet. All of the gold that he has and will make is from mining when hes by a mine or killing an animal that is part of a quest.

It might be surprising but it all can add up very fast.

Here is my video below of my toon checking the auction house and putting up new auctions.
