From my auctions that sold I was able to make 112 gold. Not to bad I suppose. My Bottled Nethergon Energy did not sell and my Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle did not sell. Sadly after my rifle went up 2 others appeared with much lower prices.

It is time to take a look though and see what was made. The run itself took me a little over 30 minutes so we may as well round it off to 40 minutes or so.

Looting: 38 gold
Vendor Trash: 9 gold
Magic Armor/Weapons: 43 gold
Auctions: 112 gold

Total: 202 gold

Well this does not seem bad really but you can't make this type of gold unless your high enough level to solo the dungeon. It was not to bad I had a 2 BOEs drop and one was purple, Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle.

From looting the corpses I got 38 gold. 3 of that gold goes to quest I did which only paid me a gold a some silver.
I was disappointed that I got hardly any Netherweave Cloth, I only was able to get 43 pieces. I guess some instances just pay out better then others.

What I got:

- 43 Pieces of Netherweave Cloth
- 25 Sunfury Signet
- 1 Arcane Tome
- 13 Mark of Sargeras
- 4 Greens
- Don Santos Famous Hunting Rifle (BOE)
- Pauldrons of Surging Mana (BOE)

Before I get sorting the big stuff I always sell my vendor trash first. After selling my vendor trash I made an additional, 9 gold. Not very much at all but that is ok.

Now becomes the hard decision of if I should disenchant the soulbound items or sell them and the greens. The last few days I checked the AH the prices were terrible on outland enchanting materials.

After looking at the prices on the AH I decided it was best to vendor trash these items to get the gold they are worth, I wouldn't disenchant enough for a stack of arcane dust which was selling for 38 gold. Upon selling my greens and soulbound items I made 43 gold from selling those off.

With my Netherweave I decided to tailor 2 Netherweave bags since I would make more gold. I know everyone can't make the bags out of Netherweave. If I was selling the 2 stacks of cloth I would make 20 gold (not including AH cut) By doing the bags I will make much more then that.

The hunting rifle also has a tough choice as I could of given it to my hunter. I am trying it at 3k so it may and may not sell. I am hoping since it seems a bit rare it will bring in some cash.

Here is the auctions:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 181px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XkWrB1_MZv4/TyrhC0DhFnI/AAAAAAAAAGc/gNVuuUK4Up8/s320/Auctions1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5704619316467537522" />

I have them all set for 48 hours, so once they sell I will do a thread and let you know the total profit. I didn't keep entire track of how long the instance took, I beleive it took roughly 30 minutes almost though.

Enchating Drops, Price Drop?

Today I decided I wanted to run through Hellfire Ramparts on my mage to collect some cloth and items to disenchant. I made the big mistake of not checking auction prices before doing this. Take a look at the pictures below. I can remember a time when these items sold for a lot. Now I am thinking this is temporary! But if not, then well that sucks.

Now I have to wonder if all servers are having this issue. Not that it is an issue, but enchanting had been a nice profit for my mage and it seems like only very high level enchanting mats are selling.

A stack of Arcane dust was selling for 25 gold on Mok'Nathal where as on my home server it was selling for 42 gold. Small Prismatic shards had a difference of maybe 80 silver in price.

In the past I have seen prices drop and come back, in this situation I hope that is all it is. My mages main source of gold comes from selling enchanting supplies, doing dailies and fishing.

Now here is her auctions:

Some of these items normally sell for a higher amount, however I took what I could and put them up even at the slight decrease in price.

One suggestion I will make, if you notice a huge price drop do not put the item up, I do save some items for later auctions. The last thing you want to do is lose 20-30 exrta gold.

Leave a comment if you have seen a drop in enchanting prices on your server, would be interesting to know.

More Fishing Fun... The best part about it is that I am making gold and increasing my skill in fishing as well. So it is a win/win situation.

I did the math and here is the result, I made $974 gold. Not bad and all of my auctions sold that day! So it all went fast :)

I have not taken a low level character to fish yet and see what they would get, I am sure I only got "sealed crates" because I was fishing on a level 85 character. Either way it works out...

Now there is a con though. A LOT of other people are buying those water walking potions and doing the same as me. If you want to make gold at this, try and get on the server when less people are doing it!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wowgoldhelper.blogspot.com/2012/01/more-fishing-fun-continued.html' title='More Fishing Fun... I noticed the best times to go searching for those fish nodes seem to be 5
minutes before the next hour. The Tauren Chieftain concert stars. There also is a
Deathmatch Pavilion which takes a lot of peoples attention away. I also find though as a rule during the day less people are online so that helps.

I had only 1 Elixir Of Water Walking in my inventory today so I drank it and was able to find 6 fishing nodes, from that 10 crates. So not bad at all really, by the way that took 10 minutes of my time to get these 10 crates.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 194px; height: 306px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N2ZnGhewdAQ/TwNa8Oj1tCI/AAAAAAAAAFg/GK9VwzeOh7A/s320/sealedcrate.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693494344673506338" />

Before I went to the Island today though I made sure to take most of the crate goods out from yesterday and get them on the Auction house. Once all of the auctions sell I will do a post and let you know how much I made :)

Oh and before I forget I got the sea pony yesterday! with all this fishing I was able to get my fishing up to 312 which is great. So I got my pet, keep increasing my fishing skill and should get some good gold out of it :)

Fishing On Darkmoon Island

I have taken a picture of my map and circled in black the areas where I found shipwrecked debris. I was able to find more fishing spots and get 6 'Sealed Crates"

This is what I got from the 2nd run:
34 silver *(rounded up)
6 Stormvine
4 Spiced Beer Jerky
20 Embersilk Cloth
3 Cheap Beer
6 Darkmoon Firewater
3 Pyrite Ore
3 Sasparilla Sinker
2 Rumsey Rum Black Label
6 Elementium Ore
4 Red Hot Wings
2 Darkmoon Dog
12 Obsidium Ore

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 255px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aTR10Sv6hJA/TwIFQRSqeGI/AAAAAAAAAFU/LRiakk3W_18/s320/Fishspot2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693118656027457634" />

You will notice the items I got are high level. I figured I should do a post about the quest involved to get this mount.

First off though here is a picture of the mount:

In order to do these dailies the first thing you need to go is get to Winterspring which is located in Kalimador. From there you must visit Frostsaber Rock and speak to Rivern Frostwind.

Quest 1 - Get Them While They're Young
This quest is simple, you just go around Frostsaber Rock to where there are dens or you see cubs and get them. To aid you in this quest you will notice a bag icon appear on your mouse when picking up the cubs. You need 8 in total and if your high level this should be a very quick quest.

Quest 2 - They Grow Up So Fast
You will get a small cub that you can summon. The cub will give you some daily quest. Before we get into the cub quest this second quest is the quest that will give you the Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber.

In order do complete this quest you need the following:

~ 20 Winterspring Cub Whiskers
~ 20 Runecloth
~ 20 Rugged Leather
~ 80 Gold

If you don't have a lot of money to spend but have toons that can make this type of leather go that route. Now if your level 85 doing this quest gold shouldn't be an issue at all really.

When you summon your cub you will get some quest which give you the whiskers you need. Because you need 20 whiskers to complete the quest it will take 20 days to complete the quest, so if you forget to log in or do a daily for that day it will take longer. Everyday you need to do the daily to get a whisker.

There are not many quest, in total the cub has 4 dailies to give you. So you will end up repeating dailies a lot. The dailies are:

Cub's First Toy

A Cub's Cravings

'Borrowing' From The Winterfall

Hunting Practice

Each quest is very easy to do and all the questing is done in Winterspring so you don't need to worry about traveling very far. The only concern you may have is how you will get to Winterspring everyday, but that shouldn't be to hard to figure out. Doing these dailies won't be a total waste of time, you will get your whisker and gold with each daily.

Cub's First Toy
"Obtain a Tough Yeti Hide from any Ice Thistle Yeti and 5 Wildkin feathers. Combine them to make a Winterspring Cat Toy and use it to play with your Winterspring Cub. "

This quest is simple and shouldn't take long to complete, you only need to take down one yeti to get the yeti hide. To get the Wildkin feathers you can visit the Owl Wing Thicket.

A Cub's Cravings
"Gather 6 pieces of Shardtooth Meat from any of the Shardtooth bears in Winterspring and feed them to your Winterspring Cub. "

This is another easy quest, I beleive you can kill any of the shardtooth bears in Winterspring to collect the meat needed.

'Borrowing' From The Winterfall
"Obtain 6 pieces of Smoked Meat from either Winterfall furbolg camp in Winterspring and feed them to your Winterspring Cub. "

You can go to Winterfall Village which is right beside Everlook to do this quest. There are racks of meat all around the camp you simple click to collect the meat. Most days I did this quest I didn't have to take down any Winterfall, it was very easy.

Hunting Practice
"Bring your cub near snow-covered burrows in northern Winterspring 5 times to help it learn how to hunt arctic hares."

For some reason I was only able to do this quest once. It is easy though. All I did was walked over where the shiny spot was in the snow and your pet does the rest.

Anyhow that was a quick not so long detail of the quest. Just remember by keeping your "Track Quest" function on this will take you to each quest and make it 10 times easier in the long run.

The mount is low level looking but I love cat's so I had to have it for my mage!

World of Warcraft, Low Level Gold Before Level 20, Part 4

A lot has happened since our last video. I did all the questing in Westfall. I have to say that Westfall has changed a lot in regards to its quest line. And this was my first time seeing that they killed off Old Blanchy! Seriously although the new storyline is well put together for the quest line it is sad. After my quest chain for discovering who killed Blanchy and the owners, I got a nice staff at the end of the quest chain though:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 225px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W14BEgsO6aQ/TfT3KWBj2kI/AAAAAAAAAEo/4G4Xzs1LqRs/s320/StaffAtEndOfWestfall.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617386392320727618" />

This is just a picture of the auctions that went up before I got a chance to make my last video:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 188px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yIlKHIZXEVo/TfT3XciUSnI/AAAAAAAAAEw/7HWG5793vTg/s320/NewAuctions2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617386617407031922" />

After I completed Westfall I moved on to Stormwind to place auctions you see above. I visited my mage trainer and then headed on to Redridge Mountains.

During one of my quest in Redridge I came across a rare spider named "Chatter" He was literally RIGHT there, not hidden and close to the road which was funny. So anyways I killed him that the picture below shows how he looks and the item I got from killing him.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 149px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XC14KBdh9Hc/TfT4uMR1P-I/AAAAAAAAAE4/pvTkb6kE73c/s320/RareInRedridgeChatter.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617388107691540450" />

The Redridge questing zone is not to bad, I quickly was able to get my character to level 20 and I am not even done the zone yet. Now that my character is level 20 though its time to head back to Stormwind and get ready to buy my first mount!

You can view the video below,

Alright, so as stated in the video at this point I may not have any more videos for this character, it was just an experiment to show others how to get gold at a low level and get their first mount without hassle.

You will also notice by choosing mining and skinning I was able to exceed the amount needed to buy my first mount.

I hope everyone enjoyed my video series and please feel free to leave comments on my youtube videos and on my blog.

World of Warcraft, Low Level Gold Before Level 20, Part 3

In this video we will find my toon in the Dwarven District of Stormwind. Not a whole lot of gold, but enough that you can at least by your first mount, by means of farming and using gathering professions.

So what I have done is started a character on a server I have never played on, and from there we will see how it goes. I have not looked into the auction house so I am not sure what the demand is for the professions I want to take. I know the
demand is there, because it is on all servers, some just greater then others.

From the picture below you will see that I have chose a human male, mage with 0 currency. As I quest he will be able to gather copper and silver, but once farming gets played into the role he will have gold.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 258px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oXctzL6Ckcg/TfA1XVb6UdI/AAAAAAAAAEg/lLsaOYAMMMo/s320/wow%2B2011-06-08%2B16-48-42-031.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616047410338484690" />

I have a tip, I want to suggest to newbies. At level 20 we are able to learn our first ground mount. You will need gold for this. So you have 20 levels to work on that.

The tip is: Don't spend money repairing your armor or buying junk from the vendors in your questing zone unless you have to. As you quest your armor will be replaced, and there is no point in repairing unless you die a lot. I say this because when you start making gold you will need silver to put the auctions up. So until you have some gold don't splurge :)

One thing I did not realize is that you can learn professions at level 5 now, so as soon as you are out of your first questing spot you will be able to start making gold!

If you decide to do what I do to make gold then you will have to find a mining trainer and either a skinning or herbalist trainer (whichever you decide) there are guards around that can help you so if your unsure ask them. Personally as a tip I suggest choosing mining and skinning or skinning and herbalist. Mining and herb farming both require you to search to find the veins/plants, so it doesn't seem worth having 2 professions that need that. And skinning is great because you will have to kill animals all the time anyways.

Also keep in mind it will cost you some copper to learn your new professions. By level 5 you should have enough to learn your professions. I want to do a video posting my auctions but I guess if that doesn't happen then it will just be shared as a blog post. I got to level 8 I think, maybe 7 and have enough copper to start my first auction, but I am going to wait until tomorrow when I will make a video or post about it.

Anyways hope you all enjoy and stay tuned!

Mining In Arathi Highlands - Results

My auctions finally are complete for my little mining experiment. From my hour of flying around and mining in Arathi Highlands I made $214 Gold. The only thing that didn't sell was 2 of my stacks of Iron Bars. For an hour in a low level zone that is not to bad.

Keep in mind this experiment was done on a character with epic flying, don't let this discourage you from mining in this zone. It still is favorable, especially if you are questing there anyways.

Of course results with vary per player and how over run the zone is with other miners. If there is lots of competition then I stay away and do it another day.

Also keep in mind that depending how fast you can travel around the zone this will also depend on how much you make. I was impressed with the spawn time for mines, up until my last flight around (hardly anything spawned). I also killed 3 lowbie rares and went into caves 6 times or so. I also got 2 blues. One dropped and one was in a Silverbound chest.

Before I get into what I got in total and what not, I will post about the rares for anyone interested.

The first rare I came across was in the cave in Drywhisker Gorge. His name is, Geomancer Flintdigger, you can visit Wowhead to learn more about this rare,
Gromancer Flintdigger

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 195px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q043bWOSyR8/TenEu8qrvaI/AAAAAAAAAEI/Igds8bD3tRE/s320/GeomancerFlintDrywhiskerGorge.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5614234721332215202" />

The second rare was Zalas Witherbark, you can find him in a cave in Witherbark Village. You can learn more about him here,
Zalas Witherbark

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 215px; height: 283px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ILPQJysLAtU/TenE4D8bxXI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/o5WDwjUPCW8/s320/ZalasWitherbark.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5614234877904536946" />

And the final rare was Nimar the Slayer, this rare is also in Withbark Village. He is on the outside by some trolls dancing, you can find him at a table. Learn more about him here,Nimar the Slayer

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 189px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uK8l32po8YM/TenFACl0EdI/AAAAAAAAAEY/ZJ1Z05Wkfc0/s320/NimarTheSlayer.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5614235014980178386" />

These rares were not all that great, but I suggest reading up on them on WoWhead from other players, that way you can see if they are worth killing or not.

Alright so first I will share the non mining stuff I collected. Now during the hour I was in Arathi I only wanted to mine, but when I saw rares I killed them and killed a few other NPCs because they were attacking/in the way. Anyways I got a few pieces of cloth, since this toon doesn't have cloth I will be sending the cloth to my mage and she will sell it, since she has a lot of cloth. I got 7 greens in total and 2 blues. The blues I got were, Ranger Bow and Lil Timmy's Peashooter. The bow dropped off a random troll in Witherbark Village and the Peakshooter was in a chest.

Now for the mining items.

~ 1 Shadowgem
~ 1 Lesser Moonstone
~ 4 Jade
~ 2 Aquamarine
~ 27 Silver
~ 27 Mithril
~ 30 Tin
~ 8 Gold
~ 93 Iron
~ 28 Coarse Stone
~ 107 Heavy Stone
~ 47 Solid Stone

Today was a good day to choose lowbie mines. I just put up a lot of the items on the AH. The greens will be going to my mage for disenchanting, and the mining stuff that is not equal to making a stack will be saved for another time. Once the auctions are completed I will make a new post about the results. I timed it and kept track of anything of importance. So we shall see how much I make from the hour of farming. My auctions are up for 48 hours, so we shall see what happens. Once everything sells (or is returned) in the 48 hours I will make a new post about it!

Happy Farming =)

Panther Cub Quest

To start the quest chain for the Panther Cub in STV you need to first visit Bwemba, she can be found at the Stormwind Harbor. However, if anyone is having issues with the quest I am going to link all the quest from Wowhead. I decided to just randomly choose 4 spots to see how much runecloth I could get. So here is the detail of each spot.

I started off at Lake Kel'Theril, I didn't bother keeping track of cloth because out of 20 kills I only got 5 if that. Not much dropped and it was not worthwhile for me at all.

The second area I chose was, Owl Wing Thicket. I killed some moontouched owl and bersker owls. Again I killed 20 in total and got 6 runecloth, not much better then Lake Kel'Theril. At one point I killed 9 owls and nothing dropped for cloth. To me this was not a worth it area either. However these owls do drop Giant Eggs, so if you need those then farming these owls could be a good idea.

The third spot I chose was, Ice Thistle Hills. I killed a lot of yetis on the outside just wandering in the snow. After 20 kills there I got roughly 10 runecloths. I discovered a cave with Ice Thistle Partriach and Ice Thisle Matrirach (spelling might be off?) These guys had a decent drop rate in the cave and
they were slightly higher level. I didn't keep track of what I killed but I would estimate 35 kills, some were re kills on the way out, however I got 17 runecloth which is not bad. Plus in the cave I counted 7 small Thorium Veins. My mage can't mine but this could be a good spot for a miner!

The last spot I chose was Winterfall Village. I chose here for I could get 20 rep per kill, not to bad. I only got 7 runecloth out of 20 kills though. However though I did find a rare in the village that dropped an item worth 2 gold. I also got Winterfall Spirit Beads which can be passed into Salfa in Winterspring. Upon passing in 5 beads I beleive you get 3650 rep xp with Timbermaw Hold.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 184px; height: 268px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ibaWJ3JgEo/TebIbLHWg2I/AAAAAAAAADs/XTNhyeES5BQ/s320/icethistlehills.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613394354729550690" />
Each spot has its own advantage when it comes to farming for runecloth. You got your Giant Eggs in the Owl Wing Thicket, and Winterfall Spirit Beads from Winterfall Village. These 2 spots are great for those reasons but I feel the gave in ice Thisle Hills is the best spot in Winterspring to farm runecloth. Plus if your a skinner you can skin those yetis!

I am Back!

It has been such a long time since I have posted to this blog, I am not willing to scrap it though. I am sorry for not being around, I was not playing WoW for a long time. I have a newer comp, but graphics are not where they need to be. I guess that is life though.

I have been between jobs and such, so due to that I also was not playing WoW as much. I think the first thing that bought me back was the fact I chose today to log in and I saw an adorable Winterspring cub! I wanted one but found out you have to do the quest to get it. So on my mage who is level 85 now, I took her to Winterspring to start the quest. Along the way I saw a rare, Stan-Rotam. I was clueless and killed him not realizing he didn't drop anything of value.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 258px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5eAeYjUorS0/TeZUK7ysEdI/AAAAAAAAADU/mczV8NFETys/s320/StanRoamRare.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613266532389622226" />

Here is what he looks like, seeing as I was level 85 I could one shot him down. I hopefully will be writing down a ton of information about the quest to get the Winterspring mount. I guess we shall see what happens! I know this is completely off topic and has nothing to do with my blog, however for the few people who do view it I want you and anyone else who visit to know that I do plan on working the blog still, just not right now.

My game card has expired as of today so I can’t experiment or make any videos anyways. Lots of people do it all the time to acquire in game items and gold. With a little research you can also put some techniques together to get gold faster in game. Its no joke, anyone can make gold, you just need to know how. There are many ways to learn how and many guides you can consult as well for extra knowledge. I am going to share the basics here and important tips to keep you on top of your game.

Oh and just for relevance I hope I have not confused you with the term gold farming, I am not talking about people who farm to get gold and later sell that gold for real world money. The term gold farming doesn’t mean just that. Gold farming involves time and effort on your part. Let’s say your out killing a mob because there is the chance a recipe could drop that sells for 200 gold in the auction house. Doing this action, repeatedly is farming. Your farming the mob for an important item, that people will buy. Let’s say you’re a miner riding your mount around Western Plaugelands to try and collect some Thorium, technically this is farming to. Usually when people want certain ore they will stay in a good area and wait for spawns or kill mobs until the ore comes back again. Mining can be pretty greedy though so be careful, there are times where you will be competing with your enemy faction or even a member from your own faction in the warcraft community.

Some people do not farm or even have professions what so ever, but they want to get ahead in game, this is where you can come in. By picking up a profitable profession, or farming well known areas where popular items drop of value can rake in the gold fast. As long as its selling and there is buyers then your all set. There are times that farming will become stressful, annoying and even make you quit and go back to something else, lets face it some people hate farming so they do not do it. Other people gold farm all the time to gather gold for whatever reason (we all have our reasons right). And some people just find gold farming boring, so they stay away. I think I said enough about gold farming though, I am sure you may be wondering what to do next, where to start and what is the most profitable items to farm.

Now if you are on your first character ever than I suggest leveling up a bit. It is your first toon after all. When you start out you have no in game currency anyways. Starting off by doing the area quest will help. These quest will give you copper/silver starting out and items, sometimes both. Also most quest involve you to kill certain mobs. After you kill a mob be sure to loot it and grab everything it dropped. Even if its garbage then vendor trash it for more copper or silver. The higher level you get the more you will get as far as currency goes, same as the mobs they will drop more.

I think Gold Farming is good for all levels. Eventually everyone probably does it at least once. There is no shame in doing it either. I don’t see what the problem is in farming up a item that sells like crazy. Think about it from this point of view, if people were not gold farming the auction house be nearly dead, yes nearly dead... Most of the items for sale were gold farmed I’m sure.

So gold farming is good because it helps you make some gold and helps keep the WoW economy going.

Make Some Quick Gold During The Feast of Winter Veil

The Feast Of Winter Veil has arrived. So this is a great time to try and make some extra gold/silver. There is a quest to get Grandfather Winter 5 gingerbread cookies and cold milk. In order to get those cookies you either need to make them, which is quite easy since the cooking skill for the cookies and egg nog is set to 1. Or you can simply buy them off the AH, though be warned the eggs and cookies are, well overpriced in my opinion...

Now you may be wondering... Where do small eggs drop? There is a few places, if you are not sure where you might like to go, check out: http://thottbot.com/ When you go to the site just type "Small Egg" into the search engine. 2 items will appear, click on the one that says "Small Egg" With doing this easy task you will be able to see the recipes it goes in, user comments and all the beast that drop the eggs. Each beast has a drop percent and location listed. With that being said though out of the list at Thotbot I have only farmed small eggs from Westfall on a level 70, it didn't take long at all and I got 63 eggs. Aside from that my character is a miner, the birds are not always together anyway so you need to do some traveling to find some of them, which means along the way I was able to mine. This would be great for a herbalist as well, since herbs can be found the same way mines are.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 231px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_t_6F1_M29Qs/SU1zUtL8BfI/AAAAAAAAACQ/rTG2CjC4Bow/s320/MoonbrookEggs.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282004737539704306" />

Here is a picture in Westfall of some Fleshrippers located in Moonbrook!

It won't make you rich but you should be able to grind up some gold by collecting gathering materials (If you have one of those professions) If not then you can at least make money from the eggs if you decide to sell them.

How much gold you make is up to you and the market pretty much. Not everyone is going to be interested in buying the eggs or cookies. People who have played for a decent amount of time probably are out farming the eggs and selling them. I always sell under the price of the previous auction, not to low or high. But not insane either... Plus where it is Christmas time in game this will be the most popular time for these items to sell like crazy. I think it is still good to do some research though in your local AH. Go in search “Small Egg” and “Gingerbread Cookie” just to make sure they are being sold and for a decent price. In my opinion it is a waste of time farming if neither item is selling decently... It is good to be careful with your pricing too though, I noticed almost daily that the prices are changing quite a bit on both items.

To be save I only sold 2 sets of 5 eggs together and 4 sets of 5 gingerbread cookies together. I wanted to make sure it sold. I probably did underprice my eggs a bit to much but the cookies seemed to be in a good place, price wise.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 223px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_t_6F1_M29Qs/SU1zlSrC65I/AAAAAAAAACY/2GLkyMW9MVI/s320/FinalAuctions.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282005022480198546" />

Here is a picture showing my auctions.

So in total I made 16 gold. Keep in mind I had more eggs. To save up farming time I acctually sent the eggs to my other characters for they could make cookies for the quest. 16 gold is not that bad though, esspecially for a low level. Combine that with other farming techniques like cloth, ore, leather or herbs then you should be able to walk out with a decent amount. Again though it really depends on your servers AH prices, how many people are farming and if the item is in demand or not for the most part. Oh and of course your level. Lower level ussually takes longer (since you would be making smaller pulls) don’t let that get you down though. If you are appropriate level then you can still get some xp from the kills!

Anyhow hopefully this helps you all get some more gold.

My Review For Warcraft Wealth Is Ready :)

Now just to make things clear, I am not posting a review at my blog right now. I keep saying I am going to put up a review on this and I have not yet. I will tell you that I started writing it though and want to make a very informative page. This will probably not be posted until the weekend though. So aside from work, playing WoW and other life stuff that has to get done I am going to try very hard to make some time this weekend to get that done and out of the way.

Why am I bothering to let my readers know this? Because I said I am going to do that and plan on keeping to my word. Life has just been hectic esspecially with the new job so I have been slowing down a lot on my many projects.

Anyhow I must head out to work now. Good night! And stay tuned for my personal and true review on Warcraft Wealth.

WOTLK Is Here!

After all the waiting and gold farming it is here! I have not spent really any gold since I installed the new expansion though. Acctually the first thing I did was go to an instance. The instance is: Utgarde Keep. It was good times. Had a climpse of the new cloth as well it is called Frostweave Cloth. Some dropped in the instance I only got 4 though. Honestly I did not have much time to play because I have to go to work soon and such.

Now here is something very important that tailors can learn! So def get it. Its called "Northern Cloth Scavenging" This ability sometimes lets you find additional cloth from Northrend humanoids. I was checking out prices of some of the new stuff on the AH as well. Frostweave cloth is selling for 55 gold for 1 stack on my server! BHAM that is expensive but expected in a way... Farming is probably the best way to go.

Hmm I do not have much to say about WOTLK because I have only done a few quest and 1 instance and still level 70. When I sit down and start playing more though I will try and find some good farming spots and share them here.

Until then though, happy questing and gold making ^_^

Make Gold With Heavy Netherweave Bandages

Ok, so Netherweave is useful, yes. It also can be instant cash without selling it on the Auction House. This method will require you to be able to make Heavy Netherweave Bandage's, which does mean you need to have first aid.

Now it takes 2 netherweave cloth to make 1 heavy netherweave bandage. 20 of those bandages makes a stack. This is great because you can sell these bandges to vendor for instant gold. Each stack will earn you 6 gold.

You can collect your Netherweave by farming or buying it when its cheap on the AH. I never buy it off the AH if its over 2 gold 50 silver a stack (remember you need 2 stacks of Netherweave Cloth to make 1 stack of bandges) If I do buy all of the Netherweave in stacks that is under 2 gold 50 silver then I at least gurantee myself 1 gold profit from every stack I make. If you have time then farming it might be better and more gold for yourself. The best thing to do though is choose a farming area where you can also grind for rep. Example would be killing the ogre's in Nagrand, this way you also will gain Kueani rep. Plus silver drops off the ogres and random vendor trash and sometimes greens.

Currently my mage has maxed out her First Aid, so I use her to do this. She had 400 gold when she went into the AH, I bought all the cloth I could for at most 2 gold 50 silver is where I stopped buying it. When she left there was 378 gold left. After making the bandages I sold them to vendor and made 409 gold. As you can see I only made 9 gold in actual profit. Point being though this is a quick way to get some extra gold by using a profression.

Experiment 2 - Selling Enchanting Mats - Profit

I just went on my mage to check her auctions and all of her enchanting auctions sold within the 12 hour slot! So that is very good for sure. So this is the amount of gold she had, 30 gold. And now I have 73 gold. So my profit was 43 gold, which seems ok for low level enchanting items. However though, these mats were collected out of randomness board times by running the same instance over and over again. For a high level who wants quick cash I would say go for it, lowbies though will not be able to do this unless a high level runs them through repeatedly or you go in constant groups. Trust me I know level 70s have better ways to spend their time and get gold, but I wanted to throw this experiment out there.

A good thing to keep note of though, the higher the items are that are disenchanted the more money you will make. So starting out it will take some time, but at higher level you can make a decent income.

Experiment 2 - Selling Enchanting Mats

I finnally logged into my mage because I wanted to disenchant and see what I can sell the disenchanted items for. I was going to send this over to my bank toon, but instead I am going to just put the auctions up on my mage toon.

This mostly is accurate but like I said I won’t sell anything unless it equals its proper stack amount of 20. In a couple spots I couldn't make a stack of 20 with what I had, so I took a few shards/dust from my mages bank to make full stacks.

Here is the totals:

Strange Dust: 13 Stacks
Soul Dust: 1 Stack
Greater Magic Essence: 2 Stacks
Lesser Astral Essence: 4 Stacks
Lesser Mystic Essence: 1 Stack
Small Glimmering Shard: 1 Stack

Every server is different but here is my prices for the enchanting mats.
As well I sell all my items less than the buyer ahead of me to most of the time make it for my items do sell for sure...

Strange Dust: 2 Gold Buyout
Soul Dust: 2 Gold Buyout
Greater Magic Essence: 2 Gold Buyout
Lesser Astral Essence: 2 Gold Buyout
Lesser Mystic Essence: 2 Gold Buyout
Small Glimmering Shard: 90 Silver Buyout

So to keep track here she currently has: 31 Gold

I am going to put these up now and see how much money I get out of selling low level enchanting mats.

Experiment # 1 - Lets See How Much I Made (Conclusion)

Alright I am logged into my bank character. So good news, good news! All of my auctions I put in from the Stockades all sold within the 12 hour time slot. So now I am going to go through and see exactly how much I made.

Right now my bank alt has 8 gold, 32 silver...
And the grand total is... ***drum roll***... 41 Gold

So that means from selling cloth, 2 enchanting mats and 3 recipes I made a profit of 33 gold. That seems ok. But the fact it took me 20 minutes to go through on a level 70 was not that great, I had a rogue though. My boyfriend ran me through on an alt within 8 minutes, sometimes 10. So obviously the more you can pull and stuff makes it more worth it in my opinion anyways. The wool drops are big though so if you ever have other reasons for wanting wool that is a good place to go.

So, IMO Stockades is not worth the time unless A) You have the free time by running in there all the time with a group or alone. Or B) You can make large pulls which means more gold potential.
Anyhow I hope this experiment was enjoyed, I will be posting more at some point.

Experiment # 1 - Totals And Auction House

So I am over on my bank toon now. I am going to record his current amount of gold, cloth and the recipes from last time. After I get it all typed down again, then I will throw everything up in the AH and the AH auctions will be set for 12 hours only. With doing this I want to see exactly how much gold I will have made from the NUMEROUS runs on my paladin and rogue. I also want to see if I can sell it all in 12 hours.

So my bank alt currently has 8 gold.
And wool cloth is selling for 2 gold :O whoa, well this should get interesting.

Here is the totals again...
11 stacks of linen
24 stacks of wool cloth
4 stacks of silk
3 low level recipes

So I went lower than I had to, but wool cloth is low level and all. I put my wool cloth in for 90 silver at buy out price, and the auction is in for 12 hours.

Now for my linen cloth, linen was in pretty cheap for 33 silver so I put mine in for 30 buyout price for 12 hours.

Last but not least silk cloth... Well the silk is selling less then its starting price in the AH which sucks, but no matter what the price I am putting these auctions in. I put mine in for 35 silver buyout, also for 12 hours.

And now for the 3 recipes
Pattern: Fine Leather Pants: 80 Silver
Enchant Cloak Minor Agility: 80 Silver
Design: Pendant of the Agate Shield: 2 Gold

Ok, so I put everything on auction for 12 hours and I still have 8 gold because it was all put in for 12 hour auctions. I can just hope it all sells in 12 hours.

However the auctions are not over yet, the 21 greens I got off of my rogue are going into auction, well they might be that is. I have it all sent to my mage who is going to disenchant it. I will only sell those disenchanted items though if they equal a stack of dust/shards, if not then it will stay on my mage for a later time...

Here is what I got from disenchanting the 21 greens...
Strange Dust: 2 Stacks, 12 alone
Soul Dust: 4
Lesser Astral Essence: 7
Small Glimmering Shard: 4

So some of it is not quite a stack of items I have 2 stacks of Strange Dust that I am going to sell though.
I am over on my bank toon now, so Strange dust is selling for 2 gold 30 silver, I am putting both mine stacks in for 2 gold buyout and again for 12 hours. And my bank toon still has 8 gold. Another good tip about selling enchanting items is that there is no deposit price :D, the AH still gets price cut after them items sells for no deposit, anyway to save money is a good way!

Now onto something completely off topic here, I was very... very bored so... 3 days ago I solo ran Shadowfang Keep on my rogue about... 4 times maybe 5 I forget now. Well I sent all the stuff to my mage to be disenchanted. The magic items I picked up from The Stockades on my paladin was not recorded because he was in there a lot. This is a different gold experiment. So items well I forget where they all came from. I know enchanting is good money though, so this is my next experiment, that I will post more on later today or tomorrow...

Anyways as for the auctions I will sign back into my bank toon later today to see what sold and such and record the results here then.

Part Of Experiment Below

Well I have been awake for a hour now, just signing into WoW. Now currently my guild has been bored because we are waiting for Wrath of The Lich King, understandable. Well my boyfriend has a level 70 paladin, we tested his theory and can run the stockades in 8 minutes. That’s one damn slap in the face, well not really but I wish my rogue could do it that quick. In 2 days my boyfriend leveled my paladin 6 times. Crazy yes! Well my paladin currently has 32 gold, so I am sending all his cloth to my bank character, that I got from the stockades runs. Here is the cloth totals. 16 stacks of Wool Cloth, 2 Stacks of Silk Cloth, 8 stacks of Linen Cloth.

I have decided to make this easier I am going to send my cloth from my rogue over to my bank toon as well. Oh and my above post was wrote this morning after 2am but I was to tired to post it lol, so I am posting it this afternoon along with this one. Ok I have not talked about my hunter yet who is level... 14 she is new and random. Down in Westfall I picked up some limited supply recipes that I went to resell in the AH. I am checking now to see what she made. She currently has 4 gold, lets see what she has next. Damn only 2 sold, well she is up to 5 gold.

I don't plan on playing my hunter today but I am going to put up some auctions for her and see what happens. I am re putting up the 2 recipes that did not sell, 5 stacks of linen cloth and 2 10 slot bags. To save on auction house deposit fees I have been testing the 12 hour time slot, which I have done just now with my hunters auctions. These auctions won't make her rich, but gold is gold. And what I want to do (when I play her anyways) is see how much gold I can get on her.

Experiment # 1: The Stockades... Is There Much Gold Potential?

***Note this was typed early this morning in notepad, and I finished typing it up this morning/afternoon***

My 1st experiment is to see how much gold I can get out of this place using my level 70 rogue. However at some point today I may try it on my level 60 mage. I have been recording cloth drops, and amounts of greens roughly and gold if any, well silver giving me more gold, and blues, but no blues yet... My level 27 paladin also was in there quite a few times, so I am sending his cloth off as well to my bank toon.

Anyhow...

Out of all the instances I have seen The Stockades does not drop much for blues. Infact it rarely does drop a blue. There are greens that drop and a lot of cloth though. I would say it’s a good spot to cloth farm :D. However though everything is elite so you would need a group or be higher level if you want to solo it. This is wrote from this morning around 2am but I am posting it today lol.

So here is what I recorded, I did 3 runs on my rogue who is level 70.

Started: 2:18AM - End: 2:40AM. Total Time: 22 Minutes
Went In With: 52 Gold
Came Out With: 54 Gold
Sold Nothing
============================================
Started: 2:42AM - End: 3:00AM. Total Time: 19 Minutes
Came Out With: 56 Gold
Sold Stuff, New Gold Price: 58 Gold
============================================
Started: 3:06AM - End: 3:26AM. Total Time: 20 Minutes
Came Out With: 60 Gold
Sold Stuff, New Gold Price: 61 Gold
============================================

I was gonna do more runs but to tired. So here is some totals.... So no blues :( but
got 21 greens! I know could sell them for pocket change but instead I am sending them away to my mage for they can be disenchanted.
For cloth I got 8 stacks of Wool, 3 stacks of linen and almost 2 of silk! Not bad for 3 runs. Plus 3 low recipes, leather and some scrap coarse stone. However though I am going to bed! In the morning I will post these auctions.

And before logging out I will record my gold which exactly is: 61 Gold, 28 Silver, 7 Copper...

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wowgoldhelper.blogspot.com/2008/09/experiment-1-stockades-is-there-much.html' title='Experiment # 1: The Stockades... Did I confuse you? Apologies if I did... Anyways this is important. Why? If you are not familiar with the color break down of items then you could throw away something of value. Chances of this happening are slim, but I have seen it happen.

So what am I talking about. Every time a item drops it will have either: grey text, white text, green text, blue text or purple text. Refer to the above picture of the grey text item if you are still confused.
These colors tell you if the item is garbage or an AH seller. And in some cases it could be an upgrade for your character.

Here is a breakdown

Grey Items: These items for the most part are useless, this does not mean you should not pick these items up though. At low levels, and even high you should pick these up if you got the bag space and turn around and sell it to vendor. In the beginning you may see a few copper and silver, at higher level though you get a lot of silver, and even up to 3 gold and more on some items. So though useless, I say keep them and collect some pocket change.

White Items: These items sometimes can be junk, depending on your character, but most white items can be used for quest, professions, sometimes low quality upgrades even. You could even sell some of it on the AH and possibly get more of a profit then selling to vendor. So before deciding myself, I carry those items, head to the AH and check prices. At this point you can decide if its worth selling on the AH or to vendor.

Green Items: Good quality items. Starting out at low level most characters are thrilled to see greens drop, that can benefit them anyways. Normally if a green is worthless to you, you can sell it on the AH for someone who can use it. Some greens are not worth selling IMO, so those I vendor trash. Now if you have an enchanter though, I'd say to send the items to your enchanter, they can disenchant the item and get dust or a shard for enchanting. Enchanting mats sell good on the AH most of the time. So selling the disenchant items is a good source of gold, or just keeping it for later enchants.

Blue Items: Rare items, can be worth lots of gold sometimes. However chances of selling these items in the AH sometimes are slim. Most blue items are BOP (Bind On Pickup) so that item will become soulbound to the character who gets it. Meaning if you want to sell it because its worthless to you, you only can to vendor. Or again keep in mind the enchanter can disenchant. There are some BOE (Bind On Equip) blue items but I do believe they have low drop rates. Either way though even if you get BOP items that are no good you can sell to vendor or like said before, send to enchanter.

Purple Items: Epic items. Well if I remember correctly you won't see these until level 30 maybe? I could be wrong on that. Chances are seem very slim to none that a BOE epic will drop but it can happen. Some of these can sell for hundreds to thousands... I got nothing more to say on these because I have always seen only BOP drops that were purple, no wait I guess one time I had a ring drop, took forever to sell though...

Anyways I know most people already knows this, but its here for the newbies and lowbies who may not know. As you quest it is important to know IMO, trashin a good item is sad when you could potentially sell if for lots of gold. Anyhow hope this helps :)

Just Wanna Say Hey For A Minute

Hi, my name is Lee and I started this blog because I love World of Warcraft. And trust me I know how hard it can be just to get your first gold. My first character and only character that has made it to 70 is my gnome rogue. My poor little fella did not get his first gold until level 20!. Yeah... Yeah I know sad. When I made my mage who is now level 60 she got her first gold at level 10. I was new on my rogue not sure how to get the gold and at the time I kept buying unnecessary upgrades that he really did not need.

I’m bit smarter now, thanks to research and help from friends. However though I want more gold. So I have decided that soon, not today, maybe tomorrow or next week I am going to buy Warcraft Wealth because I heard a lot of good things about it. I am going to buy it and follow the guide and post the gold I make and stuff right here. My rogue is poor currently because I have not been playing much, but soon he will have more gold again.

Anyways I am doing this in hopes this guide does prove to me it has potential. As I go I will post my results. I am also doing a side project, its taking kind of long at the moment due to some personal things with my family I need to take care of. So my side project could take another week, but I am going to try and get it done ASAP because I want to share it with anyone who reads my blog.

Why Is WoW Gold So Important?

Starting out in game WoW gold is not that important. Lets face it levels 1 - 10 all your doing anyways is getting your class training done mainly, secondly your profession training. Some people play this way and others buy weapons and armor from vendor, personally I think that is a waste of time. As you quest weapons and armor will fall that you can use. Some quest will reward you with decent armor and weapons as well.

As you level gold will become more important. Not just to satisfy some silly wants, but to make sure your needs are met in game. Ever since the new patch came out, lower level characters have been able to buy their first mount at level 30 instead of 40. This will cause more of a strain on low levels to get the gold needed for their first mount. There are many ways to make gold in WoW, however at low level you will not be able to do all of them.

The fact of the matter though is this, to train your characters class and professions you are going to need gold eventually, it will not always be cheap, higher level gets more expensive. There also is the issue of using flight paths, although they are not expensive by any means, starting out you are going to want to have some silver and copper to fly to wherever it is you are going. Mounts are another thing, level 30, 60 and 70 you can get mounts. Trust me mounts making questing a lot easier.

My pricing may be off slightly, but this is roughly the cost of mounts as you level.

Lots of things can get costly. A simple upgrade, maybe a new weapon, perhaps you want to play around with fireworks and other fun items. Even your repair bill to the Blacksmith is going to get even more costly. Eventually you may want potions and elixirs or the best enchants. It all cost gold. So this site is here to help you in the direction of getting more gold and getting the things you want.
